ISO734x four-channel 4/0 digital isolator is a new product from Texas Instruments. According to UL certification, galvanic isolation is up to 3000 VRMS for 1 minute, and 4242 VPK is provided according to VDE. The device has four isolated channels consisting of logic input and output buffers separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulated gate. ISO7340 has four forward channels, ISO7341 has three forward and one reverse channels; ISO7342 has two forward and two reverse channels. In the case of input power or signal loss, the default output of the device with the suffix "F" is "Low", and the default output of the device with the "F" suffix is "High". For more details, see Device Function Mode. Used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices prevent noise currents on the data bus or other circuits from entering local ground and disturbing or damaging sensitive circuits. ISO734x integrates a noise filter for harsh industrial environments where short noise pulses may appear on the device input pins. ISO734x has a TTL input threshold and operates from a power supply level of 3 V to 5.5 V. The company said that through innovative chip design and layout technology, the electromagnetic compatibility of ISO734x has been significantly enhanced to achieve system-level ESD, EFT, surge and emissions compliance.
